“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)

When God sent His Son, Jesus, to the earth, He opened the door of salvation to whoever would believe. That means anyone can come to Him and become a child of His and have everlasting life! He didn’t just come to save certain kinds of people. He didn’t have a bunch of rules and conditions for salvation. Before Jesus came, people had to observe many laws in order to be holy enough to go into the temple. They were constantly performing sacrifices to pay for their sins just so they could be around the presence of God. And even then, their sins weren’t washed away; they were only covered up. But when Jesus came, He was the final sacrifice. His blood didn’t just cover up our sins; His blood washes us clean! Now, instead of just going to the temple to be near God, the Scripture says we are the temple, and He chooses to live inside us. Do you receive Him today? If you’ve never asked Him to come into your life, there’s no better time than right now.

ROMANS 10:9‭-‬13 AMP

“…because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved .”

Do you want a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? It is very simple. You just have to receive Him as Savior and Lord.  What does that mean? It means that you don’t want to do bad things anymore. It means that you know you are a sinner, and you need help to not be a sinner anymore.  It also means you need someone greater than yourself to help you get saved and live life as a good person. This is where the “Lord” part comes in. This is where you give Jesus permission to be the boss of you.  Or maybe you have already received Him as Savior and Lord, but you know you haven’t been living right. You know you need to get back to where you are living for God and serving Him because you love Him, and you know He loves you.

Don’t just say this prayer like you are repeating it-I want you to truly look into your heart-look at your life-and make the decision that you want to change.

Say this prayer~

Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I recognize I am a sinner, and I need to be saved.

Please forgive me Lord for every bad thing I have ever done in my lifetime.

I believe Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe Jesus came down from heaven to save me.

I believe Jesus took all my sins on the cross and paid the price for me.

I believe Jesus is in heaven now seated at the right hand of God and is always talking to God about me.

Now Jesus, I ask You to come into my life and be my Savior.

Save me from all of my sins and my bad behavior.

Jesus, I give You control over my life so You can be my Lord and be the boss of me.

Thank You Jesus for saving me and being my Lord! Amen!
